Liceul Technologic Anghel Saligny from Braila, Romania, is a public school, well known as an institution that provides workforce for Braila region. A total of 760 students are trained by 56 teachers. In technical secondary (IVT), at Lyceum students are qualified on Electronics and Automation-four years of studies and also on Mechanics/ Mechatronics. Through Professional School our institution provides training in three years of study on the field of: Welding, Automotive and Electricians for Ships Building.
On the level five (post lyceum), adult students are trained in order to acquire the qualification on Computer Administrators and Technicians for Computing Equipment. Adult learners are often people with lack of basics, It and language skills, without enough self esteem.
New companies started the activity on the region and the requirements for reconversion adult courses are increasing. Liceul Technologic Anghel Saligny is also accredited to offers short period courses for adults (3-6 months).
It is also the main school from region that provides workers to Braila Shipyard (SC. Vard SA.), the biggest company from Braila town and traditional partner of the school. At the requirement of this company school organizes 2 years’ study courses with specialization on “Foreman on Mechanics”.
